List of documents to be checked

For Entry Visa (Validity – 1 month)

1. Covering letter of University/Institute to the Department of Immigration and Emigration.

Will be arranged by EAP Division

2. Recommendation of Vice Chancellor of University/Head of Institute for the covering letter to the Department of Immigration and Emigration

Will be arranged by EAP Division

3. Certified copy of the passport of applicant.

To be emailed to the EAP division by the Student

4. Certified copy of the selection letter which has been sent by the University / Institute informing the student  

To be provided by the Head of the Relevant Academic Department of the University

5. Police/ security clearance report for the student which is obtained from higher country of residence and a translation if the document is in a language other than English (Valid only for 06 months from the date of issue. )

To be emailed to the EAP division by the Student. Original to be submitted to the EAP division upon arrival

For Residence Visa (Applicable if the period of stay exceeds one month)

1. Covering letter of University/Institute to the Department of Immigration arid Emigration.

Will be arranged by EAP Division

2. Recommendation of Vice Chancellor of University/Head of Institute for the cover letter to the Department of Immigration and Emigration.

Will be arranged by EAP Division

3. Certified copy of the passport of the Applicant

Certified by the AR-EAP

4. Applications of Residence Visa with recommendation of Vice
   Chancellor/ Head of institute and official seal.

5. Health Insurance Plan (New Arrivals - Apply for health protection plan within seven days (07) of entry into the country

For Extension of Residence Visa         

1. Covering      letter       of University/Institute        to the Department of Immigration and Emigration

2. Recommendation of Vice Chancellor of University / Head of Institute for the cover letter to the Department of Immigration and Emigration

4. Recommendation of Vice-Chancellor of University /lead of Institute for extension oi the Residence Visa.
