A Webinar on Post-COVID Engineering Education in Sri Lanka was held on 16th July 2020. It was co-organized by IEEE Sri Lanka Section, Department of Mechanical Engineering, University of Moratuwa and IMechE Sri Lanka group. An expert panel comprising, Prof. A Atputharajah, Prof. Janaka Ekanayake, Prof. JP Karunadasa and Prof. Leelananda Rajapaksha moderated by Prof. Ananda Jayawardena discussed the contextual challenges and explored the opportunities in Sri Lankan engineering higher education. The objectives of the webinar were to critically discuss specific characteristics of engineering education, to elaborate PostCOVID engineering education techniques and their applicability and to assess the effectiveness of the quality of delivery and meeting accreditation requirements. The webinar targeted decision makers in engineering higher education, educators in engineering, students in engineering higher education and other relevant stakeholders of the industry. Prof. Ruwan Gopura and Dr. JR Gamage co-hosted the webinar.
