The E-Club of University of Moratuwa proudly presents the Sri Lankan Robotics Challenge for the 2ndconsecutive time. Last time we initiated this national level robot competition, which had been lacking in Sri Lanka for years. This competition has become a main event in the technology calendar of Sri Lanka and has  gained the interest from island wide to international community.  

Sri Lankan Robotics Challenge 2013 will be focusing on three major events: Flying DutchmanBlack Pearl and Endeavour

The university category competes under the name ‘Flying Dutchman’, the school category competes under the name ‘Black Pearl’ and the open category competes under the name ’ Endeavour’.   The winners of the university category will be selected to represent Sri Lanka at Techfest 2014. 

University of Moratuwa, being the country's leading technological higher education institute, have been monumental in introducing cutting-edge technology to the local communities. Alongside with the Department of Electronic and Telecommunication Engineering (ENTC), it has been a key partner in organizing the Sri Lankan leg of the robot competition for Techfest which was previously named as “iNexus”.

For the past few years, the University participated at a number of international robot competitions including Robocon, iNexus etc. In fact, during 2009/102010/112011/12 and 2012/13 Moratuwa teams emerged victorious at iNexus, Techfest.

From this year onward the university and ENTC, decide to open gates for all the robotic enthusiast in every corner of the island to participate at an arena with extreme passion and competition. This would be a one-of-a-kind experience for those budding techies on Sri Lanka.
